Algorithms make me angry

I admit it: I look at how many views and likes my posts get. Honestly, I find it infuriating that an algorithm stops people from seeing things I've spent time on. I know, this is what living and posting on the internet is about, and in one way or another, my life has been tied to Google, Facebook, Instagram, Quora, or something else for the last decade.

I could whine about it, or I could do something about it. So, starting today, I'll be posting every single day to hopara.com (and if you'd like to just get them in your inbox, that's cool – I've got that set up, sorta). I'll also be posting to Quora, reddit, LinkedIn, Twitter and maybe a few other places (like Imgur, which I'm testing out), because the only way to get through being pissed off at an algorithm is to diversify the algorithms you play along with.

This doesn't mean that I'm going to be telling you all what Hopara actually does yet; it's just the URL I had handy and, let's admit it, getting juice from Google is always a good thing for a young company. I may live to regret that, but for now... it's cool.

I've also got my full archive up on this site (of doodles, not of everything I've ever written), and freed up from LinkedIn's 700-character limit on posts, I'll probably write things that are a bit longer (although... not that much longer).

Thank you all again for your support. I only spent the hours putting together this website because of the many, many direct messages telling me that you all enjoy the doodles, and I hope you continue to like them.
